We The People of Virginia is the ACLU of Virginia’s flagship project telling a different story about Virginia: the vibrant, diverse, and resilient people who call Virginia home.
The Commonwealth of Virginia is home to people who are immigrants, people where incarcerated, people who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, people who’ve had abortions, and people fighting for the right to dissent.
They are our neighbors – they chose Virginia to build a life, raise a family, and find their community.
They are people who refused to sit on the sidelines when they saw Virginians’ rights and freedoms being violated.
They are the people who dare to imagine “a more perfect union” and make Virginia a better place for us all.
