On May 14, the ACLU of Virginia sent FOIA requests to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Virginia Tech, University of Virginia (UVA), and University of Mary Washington (UMW) to investigate possible abuses of students' civil rights and civil liberties at Virginia colleges and universities.
