Peruse reading selections and chat with folks from Black Swan Books, Book People Richmond, Chop Suey Books, and Fountain Bookstore, Inc. Learn about local adult literacy efforts by The READ Center and enjoy live readings by James River Writers (1 p.m.) and River City Poets (3 p.m.), with brunch fare from Cafe Zata.
Our attorney Nicole Tortoriello will be there to talk about government censorship, what it looks like in public schools and public libraries, and what you can do about it.
Additionally, we will discuss efforts to ban books in prisons and jails in Virginia and how you can help expand access to books behind bars.
