Speaker: Hope Amezquita, Legislative Counsel American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia

Ms. Amezquita will be speaking about pending bills that affect civil liberties in the 2008 session of the Virginia General Assembly, which will be in full swing by January 27. Hear how state legislators are addressing reproductive rights, the death penalty, privacy rights, free speech, religious freedom, gay and lesbian rights, and the usual spate of “surprise” bills.

Brunch is free, but donations are welcome.
