Our staff are experts on civil rights and civil liberties in Virginia. We love meeting Virginians passionate about our work!

If you are located in Virginia and would like to feature an ACLU of Virginia speaker at your event, please email us at speaker@acluva.org with the following information:

  • What is your event’s title, date, time, and location? Will it be in-person or virtual?
  • What type of event are you holding?
    • For example: rally, panel, keynote, meeting, training, etc.
  • What subject matter will your event cover?
  • Who is sponsoring and/or organizing your event?
    • Include any partisan organizations. Please see nonpartisan restrictions below.
  • Who is your event's audience and how many attendees do you anticipate?
  • Is your event a fundraiser? If so, where will be the funds be directed?
  • Who should we contact about your event?
    • For example: Name, phone number, and email address of who our ACLU-VA speaker would need to coordinate with.

Please also share any other relevant information that would help us determine if our experts are a good fit for your event. We’ll make our assessment based on both the nature of your event and the availability of our staff.

In general, requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event for us to be able to consider and coordinate our participation. A staff member will follow up on your request by replying to your email.
