The ACLU of Virginia and its Northern Virginia Chapter hosted the 2019 Legislative Forum on Saturday on November 17. It was an opportunity for members and advocates in Northern Virginia to learn more on our legislative priorities for the upcoming General Assembly session and how we can all fight at the statehouse to expand and protect our civil liberties.

Our program included a retrospective look at 2018 and our goals for 2019. Voting in the midterm elections was the first step in reaching those goals, and now is the time to hold our elected officials accountable. Participants in our forum learned practical ways to get more involved, lobby lawmakers, and make sure they do the job we elected them to do.

Join us to learn about 2019 legislative priorities and how we all can fight at the statehouse to expand and protect our civil liberties proactively!
