About the ProjectRestore Our Vote is part of the Virginia Voter Restoration Project, a non-partisan initiative with two objectives. First, raise awareness of the onerous provision of Virginia's Constitution that bars citizens with felony convictions from voting. Second, help those who wish to restore their voting rights by assisting them in submitting restoration applications to the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Without help, restoring your right to vote can be a complex and challenging process. However, we provide assistance that will help you to properly complete your application and to secure letters of support, which should improve your chances of success. For more information, please contact the Virginia Voter Restoration Project at (804) 644-8080. |
The Restore Our Vote website is a product of the ACLU of Virginia, which is working with numerous other organizations from across the state to provide information to individuals seeking to have their rights restored and to reform Virginia's felon disfranchisement law. It is intended for educational purposes only and does not contain legal advice. |
